Two conferences on Christianity and Christians in Jerusalem: Jerusalem and the Churches – Property Rights, Interests and the Benefit to the City The well-attended conference presented a preliminary study that mapped Church property in Jerusalem. and Attitudes among the Jewish Israeli public toward Christianity, hristian civilization and Christian presence in Israel The conference centered round the findings of a public opinion survey conducted by the JIIS in cooperation with the Jerusalem Center for Jewish-Christian Relations. Performance Assessment of Technology Incubators A team led by Dr. Dan Kaufmann. New Publication: Developing a network of bird-watching sites in Israel.

The Jerusalem Development Authority extended its contract with JIIS for the "Academia.Jerusalem" project . Dr. Dan Kaufmann and Oz Gura presented their research on technology incubators, The Youth Movements held a meeting at the JIIS. Urban Committees JIIS representatives Israel Kimhi and Dr. Maya Choshen. Two conferences on Christianity and Christians in Jerusalem will be held in March.

Several events were held: conference on ecology and community gardening, lecture on Jerusalem by Israel Kimhi and Dr. Maya Chosen, who also lectured on "Jerusalem, Between Image and Reality". Also, a new Institute's publication by Prof. Gur Ofer "A Vision for Jerusalem" and an interview with Dr. Maya Chosen on on the subject of Jerusalem's Arab educational system.

Project on the Water Needs of Israel and the Palestinian Authority Two meetings of the group on water needs took place. Policy Paper for Dealing with the Erosion of Cliff Shores, Three meetings on the subject of the cliffs were held with policy makers.

A conference was held to discuss the document "Israel 2028 – Vision and Socio-Economic Strategy in the Global World". A meeting of the team on the subject of majority-minority relations in Israel in order to create a theoretical framework for dialogue between jews and arabs. Furthermore, the ambassador of Australia in Israel, James Larsen visited the Institute and met with Prof. Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov. Prof. Bar-Siman-Tov was also a guest on the popular television news magazine, London and Kirshenbaum on Channel Ten.

Ora Ahimeir, director of the Institute, and Dr. Maya Choshen were invited to speak at a special meeting of the Israeli government devoted to the subject of Jerusalem. Prof. Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov, head of the Jerusalem Institute, and Prof. Mari Fitzduff were invited to take part in a discussion devoted to obstacles to conflict resolution. Moreover, distribution of the Yearbook as well as the accompanying publication "Jerusalem: Facts and Trends" has been completed, and interesting conferences which were held- "The rule of evaluation studies" and "Between militarism and policy".

International conference was held in Switzerland: "Defining Water Needs for Fully Exploited Resources", a necessary step for Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation. Representing the Jerusalem Institute were: Prof. Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov and Galit Hazan. Also. Special conference at the Knesset on the economic future of Jerusalem and a visit of the mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom, the innovative mayor of San Francisco, was a guest of the Institute.
