About the Conflict Management Desk
The Jerusalem institute for Israel Studies has formed in the year 2003 a unique and inter-disciplinary research group, designated to re-examine the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and especially the violent confrontation which erupted in September 2000.

The Conflict Management desk is involved in various research including Jerusalem, management of holy places, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Jewish-Arab relations in Israel.

The Conflict Management Desk has made a considerable impact regarding the conflict field, including participation of JIIS researchers in the Peace Administration (1999-2000).

The Conflict Management and Resolution research desk develops new conceptual models and practicable alternatives for the management and resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, particularly in Jerusalem, for the use of decision-makers.
