Announcing a research workshop on the topic of: Urban Tourism Planning - Jerusalem as a Case Study
We invite researchers, graduate students and professionals to join a research workshop during the 2013-14 academic year entitled: Urban Tourism Planning: Jerusalem as a Case Study. Led by Prof. Noam Shoval and Israel Kimchi
The workshop will offer basic tools in urban tourism planning and will deal primarily with analyzing the spatial planning of tourism in Jerusalem, from the mid-1960s to the most current programs.

Conference: Indicators for assessing the state of a local authority
The Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies recently hosted a conference, on the topic of: Indicators for assessing the state of a local authority. A joint enriching discussion was held on measuring and assessing local authorities together with heads of authorities, CEOs, strategic unit directors and senior government officials.

Seminar on Outlooks for long term strategic planning
The Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Policy Center (EPC) of the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies hosted a seminar on the preparation and use of outlooks for long term strategic planning. The seminar was led by environmental experts from the OECD as well as Israeli experts in the field.

Symposium on Jewish-Catholic Relations
